WICKLOW GAA’s Hearings Committee have ruled against an appeal by Rathnew Senior football manager Harry Murphy and club member Bobby Dignam after the CCC disciplinary committee recommended one-month bans for both after an incident during the recent league match between the Village side and AGB.

The CCC ruled on the evidence supplied in the report by referee Darragh Byrne but the Rathnew club appealed that to the Hearings Committee and it is believed that the appeals were refused.

The appeal of a Rathnew player following the same game was reduced to a one-match ban by the Hearing’s Committee, sources within Wicklow GAA revealed this week.

The appeals by the St Patrick’s GAA Club following the fine and suspensions recommended by the CCC after the abandoned game with Éire Óg Greystones have not yet been heard by the Wicklow Hearings Committee.
