Daisy Cottage Farm in Kiltegan wins new contract with Aldi

Wicklow People (West Edition) - - NEWS -

DAISY Cottage Farm of Kiltegan has won a contract to supply Aldi’s 137 stores through its Grow with Aldi supplier development programme.

The deal will see Daisy Cottage Farm’s Baking Mixes available on Aldi’s shelves.

Daisy Cottage Farm is a small family run artisan bakery nestled in the Wicklow mountains. Founded by Lorraine Aspill, a trained home economics teacher and pastry chef, the café and its range of products are a labour of love. The baking mixes to be sold at Aldi nationwide will help to bring that Wicklow-inspired baking love to homes across the country.

Founder Lorraine said: ‘To have our baking mixes recognised by a global retailer like Aldi is fantastic. Grow with Aldi provides huge exposure for our brand and lets us reach more shoppers than ever before. The support and mentoring offered by the programme has already benefited our business immensely.’

The development programme sees participants receive tailored mentoring and access to bespoke workshops with Aldi buyers and Bord Bia technical experts, teaching them the skills to help grow and develop their products.
