Presentation to three retiring Credit Union members
BLESSINGTON Credit Union paid a fond farewell to three local stalwarts for their service to the local community.
Mary Tully, Breda Brophy and Con Flynn all have over 40 years of service under their belt with Blessington Credit Union.
A special celebration night was held in the Ballymore Inn and was also attended by family, friends and board members.
Blessington Credit Union Chairperson Michael Doyle presented each of the retiring members with a special gift to mark their years of dedicated service.
In his address the chairman paid special tribute to Mary, Breda and Con on their remarkable record of service to the Credit Union.
Mr Doyle said they wouldn’t just be a great loss to Blessington Credit Union but also to the wider credit union movement after a lifetime of involvement.
At the 2019 AGM it was revealed that the total of new loans issued grew by over €1m, from €5,243,796 to €6,256,450.
