Pre­sen­ta­tion to three re­tir­ing Credit Union mem­bers

BLESS­ING­TON Credit Union paid a fond farewell to three lo­cal stal­warts for their ser­vice to the lo­cal com­mu­nity.

Mary Tully, Breda Bro­phy and Con Flynn all have over 40 years of ser­vice un­der their belt with Bless­ing­ton Credit Union.

A spe­cial cel­e­bra­tion night was held in the Bal­ly­more Inn and was also at­tended by fam­ily, friends and board mem­bers.

Bless­ing­ton Credit Union Chair­per­son Michael Doyle pre­sented each of the re­tir­ing mem­bers with a spe­cial gift to mark their years of ded­i­cated ser­vice.

In his ad­dress the chair­man paid spe­cial trib­ute to Mary, Breda and Con on their re­mark­able record of ser­vice to the Credit Union.

Mr Doyle said they wouldn’t just be a great loss to Bless­ing­ton Credit Union but also to the wider credit union move­ment after a life­time of in­volve­ment.

At the 2019 AGM it was re­vealed that the to­tal of new loans is­sued grew by over €1m, from €5,243,796 to €6,256,450.
