The senior game against Newtown last Friday night was called off due to a bereavement in Newtown and Kilmacanogue GAA Club wish to send their condolences his family and the club. There was however some great junior action during the week.
The under-13s played a thrilling draw with St Kevin’s. They were four points down at halftime, hit back to lead by seven points with 10 minutes to go, found themselves three points down with minutes to go but snatched a draw. Managers Garreth Power and Eddie Bradshaw were delighted with the effort of all 17 of the panel.
The minors lost to St Patrick’s but were missing 11 players between holidays and leaving certificate exams.
Finally, congratulations to the under-12 ladies’ team who travelled to Rathdrum recently to play their final match in the league. With the league already wrapped up, they still played out of their skin to stayed undefeated throughout the league campaign. The final score in the match was 5-5 to 2-0 and selectors Christopher Fox and Pamela Prendergast are very proud of these up and coming stars. Well done to the champions.
