Decide to be happy
AN art exhibition featuring the works of Claudia Roche is has gone on display in the Latin Quarter in Redcross. Entitled ‘Decide to be Happy’ the exhibition is open every weekend from 2-6 p.m. throughout June.
Claudia had a nomadic childhood, living in seven different countries before she was fifteen years old at which point she and her famoly moved to Somerset in the South of England. She then attended Bristol University and gained a History degree before moving to Italy where she worked with horses. In 2001 she moved to Ireland has remained here ever since, which is the longest she has ever remained in one place.
Having grown up surrounded by modern art, thanks to her parents’ passion for Chagall, Picasso and John Piper, Claudia was taken round the galleries and churches of Europe during summer camping holidays. Her elder sister went on to study History of Art at university so it was very much a subject for discussion at family mealtimes.
