Huge con­grat­u­la­tions and well done to New­town Se­niors who won against Bray Em­mets last week on a score­line of 1-8 to 2-11.

There were some won­der­ful per­for­mances on the night by the men se­cur­ing their sec­ond pro­mo­tion in 12 months and send­ing New­town back to the top tier in Wick­low GAA along with Avon­dale.

They now take on Éire Óg in the league cup semi fi­nal Tues­day, June 18. Please check fixtures for time and venue. There has been some great sup­port at re­cent games so please keep it up in the count­down to cham­pi­onship!

This year the GAA will be of­fi­cially rep­re­sented at the Pride pa­rade on June 29 as part of the Dublin Pride fes­ti­val. 100 places have been al­lo­cated, if you are in­ter­ested in par­tic­i­pat­ing you must ap­ply to gen­der­di­ver­[email protected]

Seven matched three num­bers in last week’s lotto but no one took home the jack­pot, this weeks jack­pot is €2,600. Num­bers drawn were: 6, 8, 9, and 11.

Our fam­ily Fun day is on this Satur­day 22nd from 1-4. There will be plenty of fun for the kids and hope­fully we get the good weather.

We have an in­flat­able pitch for a blitz, a seven-me­ter dart board, in­flat­able goal posts, win a gold fish, horse and cart, BBQ, golf chip­ping, raf­fle, pop­corn and candy floss, kick fáda and plenty plenty more. Hope to see you all there.

Pride of place goes to the un­der-12 girls team for win­ning the Di­vi­sion 2 league for the sec­ond year in a row.

An un­be­liev­able ef­fort from all the girls and man­age­ment all sea­son is now pay­ing div­i­dends and they now move up to di­vi­sion one.

They are the first team ever in the club to be play­ing in a top di­vi­sion.

On Satur­day morn­ing at train­ing county play­ers Ni­amh McGet­ti­gan and Sarah Mi­ley pre­sented the girls with their win­ning tro­phy. Well done to ev­ery­one and thanks to Ni­amh and Sarah for their time pre­sent­ing the tro­phy.

Well done also to the un­der-14 girls beat­ing St. Pats away on Thurs­day 4-14 to 1-5 and to Shan­non Sweeney and So­phie Murphy who rep­re­sented Wick­low in a county un­der-13 blitz in Port­laoise on Satur­day.

The Ju­nior ‘B’ team kept up their per­fect league cam­paign on Thurs­day beat­ing An Tochar 4-14 to 1-5 to stay top of the league. Hard luck to the Se­nior team who lost away to Balt­in­glass on Fri­day night.

Best of luck to JT Moore­house, Sam O’Dowd, Ciaran Cof­fey and the rest of the county un­der-20 team who play Wex­ford on Satur­day in the Le­in­ster cham­pi­onship. Kevin Gill is also a se­lec­tor on the team.

Happy birth­day to two great sup­port­ers of the club with Mary Dowling turn­ing 80 and Laurence Doyle turn­ing 50 and also con­grat­u­la­tions to Lee Ryan and Naomi Nolan on their re­cent wed­ding. Con­do­lences to the fam­ily of John Power (Kirvin Hill) who sadly passed away last week. May he rest in peace.


Hol­ly­wood GAA Club lotto draw re­sults from June 12. The num­bers drawn were 4, 9, 24 and 29. There was no winner of the jack­pot. The sell­ers prize went to Frances Kelly (331). The €50 win­ners were Mick Mol­loy (564).

Bingo Ladies (900) and Jim Kennedy (417). The next draw for a jack­pot of €10,400 will be held in the Hol­ly­wood Inn on Wed­nes­day, June 26.

MICHAEL KEALY AGRI CON­TRACT­ING were an­nounced as the new spon­sor of Strat­ford Grange­con GAA Ju­nior team and the of­fi­cial pre­sen­ta­tion of a new set of O’Neills jerseys with the com­pany’s logo took place at the teams home match against Hol­ly­wood GAA last Thurs­day.

Michael’s brother Alan Kealy pre­sented the new set of jerseys on his be­half.

Michael is from Grange­con and him­self, his par­ents and sib­lings have al­ways been huge sup­port­ers of our club. He pre­vi­ously was a player him­self on both adult teams and at ju­ve­nile level. Many will re­mem­ber the huge commitment his mother Mar­garet gave to the ju­ve­nile teams of their day.

We are thrilled to have a busi­ness from Grange­con back­ing our lads and are very thank­ful to Michael and have erected a sign at our gate en­trance proudly an­nounc­ing the team spon­sor­ship.


At our last lotto draw the jack­pot wasn’t won. The num­bers were 11, 17, 22, and 30. The three €25 win­ners were Sally Cal­laghan, Nodie Nu­gent and Mandy O’Brien.

Our Race Nite will be held on Satur­day, July 6, in Cullen’s Lake­view Lounge, un­der starter’s or­ders at 7.30pm. Race cards are out now and we urge ev­ery­one to sell their quota of horses as this is our main fundraiser this year. Horses can be pur­chased from all play­ers and com­mit­tee mem­bers.

The 2019 Kel­logg’s GAA Cúl Camps have been an­nounced and our camp will be held on the 1st-5th July.

Both our Ju­nior teams had a great cou­ple of days with our Ju­nior hurlers de­feat­ing Kil­te­gan Wed­nes­day night on a score­line of Avon­dale 4-16, Kil­te­gan 1-9, while Thurs­day night our Ju­nior foot­ballers trav­elled to Balt­in­glass and came home smiling af­ter a good win on a score­line of 4-10 to 2-7. Well done to both teams and let’s keep her go­ing.

Well done to Alex Ka­vanagh who rep­re­sented our club in the un­der-12 long puck at the Com­mu­nity Games. Alex came fifth on the day which is a great achieve­ment, as he is still un­der-11 so it will give him great ex­pe­ri­ence for to go again next year.
