Huge congratulations and well done to Newtown Seniors who won against Bray Emmets last week on a scoreline of 1-8 to 2-11.
There were some wonderful performances on the night by the men securing their second promotion in 12 months and sending Newtown back to the top tier in Wicklow GAA along with Avondale.
They now take on Éire Óg in the league cup semi final Tuesday, June 18. Please check fixtures for time and venue. There has been some great support at recent games so please keep it up in the countdown to championship!

Seven matched three numbers in last week’s lotto but no one took home the jackpot, this weeks jackpot is €2,600. Numbers drawn were: 6, 8, 9, and 11.

Our family Fun day is on this Saturday 22nd from 1-4. There will be plenty of fun for the kids and hopefully we get the good weather.
We have an inflatable pitch for a blitz, a seven-meter dart board, inflatable goal posts, win a gold fish, horse and cart, BBQ, golf chipping, raffle, popcorn and candy floss, kick fáda and plenty plenty more. Hope to see you all there.
Pride of place goes to the under-12 girls team for winning the Division 2 league for the second year in a row.
An unbelievable effort from all the girls and management all season is now paying dividends and they now move up to division one.
They are the first team ever in the club to be playing in a top division.
On Saturday morning at training county players Niamh McGettigan and Sarah Miley presented the girls with their winning trophy. Well done to everyone and thanks to Niamh and Sarah for their time presenting the trophy.
Well done also to the under-14 girls beating St. Pats away on Thursday 4-14 to 1-5 and to Shannon Sweeney and Sophie Murphy who represented Wicklow in a county under-13 blitz in Portlaoise on Saturday.
The Junior ‘B’ team kept up their perfect league campaign on Thursday beating An Tochar 4-14 to 1-5 to stay top of the league. Hard luck to the Senior team who lost away to Baltinglass on Friday night.
Best of luck to JT Moorehouse, Sam O’Dowd, Ciaran Coffey and the rest of the county under-20 team who play Wexford on Saturday in the Leinster championship. Kevin Gill is also a selector on the team.
Happy birthday to two great supporters of the club with Mary Dowling turning 80 and Laurence Doyle turning 50 and also congratulations to Lee Ryan and Naomi Nolan on their recent wedding. Condolences to the family of John Power (Kirvin Hill) who sadly passed away last week. May he rest in peace.
Hollywood GAA Club lotto draw results from June 12. The numbers drawn were 4, 9, 24 and 29. There was no winner of the jackpot. The sellers prize went to Frances Kelly (331). The €50 winners were Mick Molloy (564).

MICHAEL KEALY AGRI CONTRACTING were announced as the new sponsor of Stratford Grangecon GAA Junior team and the official presentation of a new set of O’Neills jerseys with the company’s logo took place at the teams home match against Hollywood GAA last Thursday.
Michael’s brother Alan Kealy presented the new set of jerseys on his behalf.
Michael is from Grangecon and himself, his parents and siblings have always been huge supporters of our club. He previously was a player himself on both adult teams and at juvenile level. Many will remember the huge commitment his mother Margaret gave to the juvenile teams of their day.
We are thrilled to have a business from Grangecon backing our lads and are very thankful to Michael and have erected a sign at our gate entrance proudly announcing the team sponsorship.
At our last lotto draw the jackpot wasn’t won. The numbers were 11, 17, 22, and 30. The three €25 winners were Sally Callaghan, Nodie Nugent and Mandy O’Brien.

Our Race Nite will be held on Saturday, July 6, in Cullen’s Lakeview Lounge, under starter’s orders at 7.30pm. Race cards are out now and we urge everyone to sell their quota of horses as this is our main fundraiser this year. Horses can be purchased from all players and committee members.

Both our Junior teams had a great couple of days with our Junior hurlers defeating Kiltegan Wednesday night on a scoreline of Avondale 4-16, Kiltegan 1-9, while Thursday night our Junior footballers travelled to Baltinglass and came home smiling after a good win on a scoreline of 4-10 to 2-7. Well done to both teams and let’s keep her going.
Well done to Alex Kavanagh who represented our club in the under-12 long puck at the Community Games. Alex came fifth on the day which is a great achievement, as he is still under-11 so it will give him great experience for to go again next year.
