High standards rewarded at prestigious awards
STORES from around Wicklow have been recognised for their excellence in retail at the prestigious XL Retailing Standard Awards.
Attracting retailers from all over Ireland, the awards were held at the Citywest Hotel in Saggart, Co Dublin and were run by BMG Foods, owners and operators of the XL brand.
When it came to handing out the awards, McCoy’s XL store in Laragh and XL Newcastle received Gold Retailing Standard Awards. The D’s Newsagent XL in Bray received a Silver Retailing Standard Award, while XL Boghall Stores, Bray received a Bronze Retail Standard Award.
Paul Bealin, XL Head of Sales, paid tribute to those who had achieved an XL Retailing Standard Award for their determination and ongoing commitment.

The XL Retailing Standard Awards are only given to stores that pass a tough year-long inspection, including visits from mystery shoppers.
