Another fantastic week’s work again. The village is looking beautiful. Well done to all of those who volunteered on Tuesday and Friday night last week cleaning the areas around the library, Chapel Lane and the bridge at Lawless’. Other volunteers were spotted throughout the week tidying areas along the Main Street, Rednagh Road and Jim’s Way, to mention but a few. The residents’ associations in the various housing estates are also busy. Huge progress is being made in Croghan View and Loudres Crescent, with lovely fresh summer bedding recently being planted. Last Thursday a group from Aughrim Hall were also busy pruning and clipping. If anyone would like to share photographs of their endeavours or would like to highlight some work that has been completed, please message us on our Facebook page. Please like and share Aughrim Tidy Towns’ Facebook page. We will meet again next Friday night at the monument at 7 p.m. Please bring along whatever tools you may like to use.
