SUM­MER CAMP

Come join an ex­cit­ing sum­mer camp at Carnew Na­tional School from July 29 to Au­gust 2. For age group: 4-12. Times: 9.30 a.m. to mid­day (Art Camp); mid­day to 1 p.m. (Ac­tiv­ity Camp).

Art in the morn­ing (Tile Paint­ing, Clay Houses, Draw­ing, pup­pets and much more) Ac­tiv­ity camp in the af­ter­noon (In­tro­duc­tion to Tae-Kwon-Do, circuit train­ing and lots more).

TI­NA­HELY WALK­ING CLUB

The fol­low­ing are the walks for the next two weeks for Ti­na­hely Walk­ing Club. June 30: An­nacur­ragh (Lit­ter Pick walk with Pure Mile). Level B, 10km, three hours. Meet Ti­na­hely 10 a.m. or An­nacur­ragh Church car park 10.15 a.m. July 7: Lough Dan. Level A, 16km, five hours. Meet Ti­na­hely 9.45 a.m. or Laragh 10.30 a.m.

The last bingo for the sum­mer is on Sun­day, June 30, at 2.30 p.m. in St Brid­get’s Hall. All wel­come and a sin­cere thank you for your sup­port to date.

AGRI­CUL­TURAL SHOW

Carnew and District Agri­cul­tural show will be held on Satur­day, July 20, in Um­ri­gar by kind per­mis­sion of the Kinsella and Stephens fam­i­lies.

Bimeda An­i­mal Health are new spon­sors of the all-Ire­land cheviot sheep cham­pi­onship for a pair of cheviot ewe lambs judged as a pair.

Full pro­gramme of classes for horses, ponies, sheep, poul­try, dog show, bak­ing, arts, crafts and flow­ers. Classes for chil­dren of all ages to com­pete.

SPLIT THE POT

The lucky win­ner of €170 in our split-the-pot draw of Scoil Ao­dan Naofa Carnew was Lau­ren Myers. Con­grat­u­la­tions. The seller’s prize was won by James Gre­gan, who won a €10 voucher for Vic­tors and the lucky-dip win­ner was Ellie-Mae Fortune. Next draw is on Fri­day, June 28. Thanks for your sup­port.

BALLYELLIS NS SPLIT THE POT

On Fri­day, June 21, the win­ner of split-the-pot was Mary and Am­ber Walsh, Don­ishall, win­ning €133. We thank ev­ery­one for sup­port­ing split-the-pot. En­velopes can be ob­tained from the School or any par­ent and from Ash­ling Walsh af­ter week­end Mass in Askamore Church. Draws will take place ev­ery Fri­day morn­ing in Ballyellis School.
