Our regular walks include the Hollywood Forest, White Bog and the Hollywood Loop talking in part of St Kevin’s Way to Church Mt. Weekend walks take place once a month, the date and venue is confirmed by the team leaders in advance at our Tuesday walks. We had our first Saturday hike on June 15 to the summit of Church Mt, This walk was very well attended by the group, the weather was ideal for walking with bright sunshine and a nice refreshing breeze. The group took some fantastic photos of the panoramic view over King’s River Valley and the plains of Kildare. We are very fortunate to have four experienced team leaders available to guide our walks. Alan and Trina Burke and John and Ann Fitzgerald are very familiar with the trails and hills around Wicklow. They have extensively studied St Kevin’s Way on behalf of the Hollywood Community Forum, Their feedback has be invaluable to the upgrading and improvement work being undertaken on this important pilgrim path. The Hollywood Walking and Trails Group welcomes all age groups interested in walking. Our philosophy is ‘We don’t stop walking because we are grow old; we grow old because we stop walking’.

We also encourage families to come on our walks, children and teenagers less than 18 years under parent supervision and any organisations and clubs who would enjoy an evening out walking. Currently we don’t have a joining fee so come along and enjoy the benefits of walking such as getting fit, meeting new people and more importantly being part of all Hollywood has to offer. This includes connection with nature to rebalance one’s equilibrium in this busy world, delightful scenery, community spirit and pride of place.
