CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS
Muintir na Tíre has been allocated funding by the Department of Rural and Community Development to install Carbon Monoxide alarms in the homes of elderly and vulnerable persons. This programme is aimed at persons who do not have existing alarms and do not have the resources to install alarms themselves. The Roundwood and District Community are putting in an application under the scheme which will allow residents of the area to apply for alarms. The group can assist in installing the alarms if the need arises. The alarms are battery powered so installation is straightforward. If you are elderly, have a disability or are unemployed and do not have a carbon monoxide alarm in your home and wish to apply for one please call 086 8055040 on or before Wednesday, June 26.
