Elvis Roots Fes­ti­val is launched in Hack­et­stown

FANS of the King of Rock n Roll gath­ered re­cently to launch the Elvis roots fes­ti­val in Hack­et­stown, county Car­low.

Now in its fifth year, the fes­ti­val takes place on Sun­day, July 28 and prom­ises to be a cel­e­bra­tion of the Pres­ley fam­ily’s roots in Ea­gle Hill, Hack­et­stown and a fun fam­ily day out.

A highlight of the day will be Ir­ish coun­try star Bernie Heaney who will per­form for mu­sic lovers at the event. Ir­ish Elvis An­thony Far­relly will also take part in the fes­ti­val.

There will street en­ter­tain­ment per­form­ers in­clud­ing stilt walk­ers, face painters, fire breathers, and a Wild West show. For car en­thu­si­asts, the day will also fea­ture a clas­sic and vin­tage car show. East coast fal­con­ers will bring an ar­ray of eight different birds of prey to the fes­ti­val.

There will be hot food served by the award-win­ning Bad­boys bar­be­cue for vis­i­tors to en­joy. There will also be stalls sell­ing mem­o­ra­bilia and chil­dren’s face paint­ing.
