Success for Simon with top marks in accounting exams
WICKLOW based-mature student secured one of the top marks in the country in the Diploma for Accounting Technicians programme. Simon Sheridan (40) from Aughrim has just sat his first exams in his Chartered Accountancy studies after deciding to continue his education.
‘I’m working in Copsey Murray Chartered Accountants in Arklow, and also pursuing my studies online,’ said Simon.
‘The Accounting Technicians Ireland course was fabulous and gave me the perfect foundation to realise that I loved the area and wanted to further my career in it. The course also allowed me four exemptions in the modules I have to complete over the next three and a half years, because I had them comprehensively covered with the ATI.’
‘I was only expecting to learn about accountancy, but I also covered business management, ethics and a lot more that would assist anyone in their future options.’
Accounting technicians work at all levels of finance throughout the private and public sector.
