CARNEW AND DIS­TRICT AGRI­CUL­TURAL SHOW

Carnew and Dis­trict Agri­cul­tural Show takes place in Um­ri­gar. Full pro­gramme of classes for horses, ponies, sheep, poul­try, dog show, bak­ing, arts, crafts and flow­ers on the day.

WINGS FOOD FEST

Wings Food Fes­ti­val re­turns to Bray. There will be food pop-ups, in­clud­ing ve­gan op­tions and plenty of ac­tiv­i­ties. En­try is free and there will be plenty of en­ter­tain­ment in­clud­ing a seafront fun­fair, bar­be­cue pit­mas­ter demos, street food and craft mar­kets as well as live mu­sic and Djs. The fes­ti­val is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

POP UP PIC­NIC

Helium in part­ner­ship with the Mer­maid Arts Cen­tre, presents Pop Up Pic­nic, a feast feast of multi-sen­sory play, re­lax­ation and sur­prise for young chil­dren with com­plex needs and their fam­i­lies. A sooth­ing world of mu­sic, sound, pup­petry, move­ment and tac­tile fun is wait­ing to be dis­cov­ered in this en­chant­ing, in­ter­ac­tive per­for­mance at the Mer­maid. This event is suit­able for chil­dren aged five and un­der with com­plex dis­abilites and takes place at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. At­ten­dance is free but places must be booked through the box of­fice at the Mer­maid.

AMELIE

Grey­stones Film Club and Bear Paw are team­ing up for a film screen­ing with a dif­fer­ence at the Whale The­atre. Amélie will taste that lit­tle bit sweeter as guests en­joy a French cui­sine menu, spe­cially pre­pared by chef Thierry Peu­rios and the muchloved Bear Paw Del­i­catessen. While the food will be served at 7 p.m., the Jean-Pierre Je­unet clas­sic starring Au­drey Tautou will be on the screen at 9 p.m. Tick­ets cost €35 for the movie and din­ner or €10 for the movie alone and are avail­able from the Whale.

JAKE CARTER IN CON­CERT

Jake Carter and his live band will be per­form­ing in St Laurence’s GAA grounds, Nar­ragh­more, in this fundraiser for Kiltegan GAA and Camo­gie Club Devel­op­ment Fund. Doors open at 7.30 p.m. and un­der-16s must be ac­com­pa­nied by and adult. Tick­ets cost €25 and are avail­able through club­force.com.

Sup­port this year’s Hol­ly­wood Fair with a night of din­ner and danc­ing. This spe­cial fundraiser takes place in the Hol­ly­wood Cen­tre at 8 p.m. and will fea­ture mu­sic by the Wick­low Man. Tick­ets cost €20.
