Wicklow hairdressers among winners at Peter Mark Long Service Awards
PETER Mark has honoured five of its employees in Wicklow for their long-standing service to the company.
The Wicklow employees of the well-known Irish hairdressing business celebrated were Orla Hennessy who has 10 years’ service in the Arklow salon, Emma Jane Haughton for 10 years in the Arklow salon, Louise Martin for 10 years in the Arklow salon, Leah Rowe for 15 years in the Arklow salon and Joe Corrway for 40 years in the Bray salon.
The Peter Mark Long Service Awards were held recently at the Westin Hotel, Dublin and recognised 75 employees from salons across the island of Ireland who have worked at Peter Mark for 10 years or more years.
Of the 75 honoured, the average length of service was 19 years, but many were celebrating even more significant milestones with the company.
Collectively those 75 people honoured have over 1,400 years of experience in the hairdressing industry ranging from stylists to support staff. That equates to over 2.8 million hours of blow-dying, cutting and colouring hair.
Speaking at the Long Service Awards, Peter O’Rourke, CEO of Peter Mark said: ‘As a company built on people, today is an important day. Today we recognise those who have committed between a decade and 40 years of service to Peter Mark. This is a huge achievement and one that we are delighted to be able to celebrate with our talented team.
