Molly strikes gold
TULLOW girl Molly Scott took Gold in a high quality 100m hurdles race at Saturday’s Junior and Under-23 championships on Saturday last.
A student of Carlow It, Molly is well known in Wicklow athletics circles, and more recently competed for Ireland in international competition.
She had a very credible time of 13.71 in a very competitive final line-up.
Despite her exploits in winning this title, Molly found plenty of reserves of stamina, to take in the 100m race coming up against an in-form Ciara Neville. While the Emeralds athlete won in a time of 11:69, Scott put in an excellent run to take the silver medal in a time of 11.74.
