HSE launches new tools to help parents
A WICKLOW family was among the guests present for the launch of a new pregnancy, baby and toddler health website and books for parents and parents-to-be.
Monica and Barra O Dúill along with eight-month-old baby Liam from Roundwood were in attendance at the launch on Thursday of a new HSE campaign which introduces mychild.ie, as well as new books all provided free of charge.
During the development of mychild.ie, over 4,000 parents took part in a research and listening exercise. These parents included those at different stages - first time pregnant, second child, mothers, fathers - and from a variety of locations across Ireland and different situations, including parents transitioning from homelessness, asylum seekers, teenage and young parents, and parents from the Traveller community. The HSE’s mychild.ie books and website are designed to be a one-stop-shop for parents.
