AN­NUAL ROAD RACE

The an­nual 8k road race will take place on Sun­day, July 28. There is also a 5k run or walk suitable for all ages and levels of fit­ness. Walk­ers start­ing at 5.30 p.m. Run­ners start­ing at 6 p.m. Medals for all fin­ish­ers. Tro­phies for first, se­cond and third place in both men’s and women’s 8k race.

En­tries are €10 per per­son or €15 for fam­ily. All pro­ceeds will go to­wards Care of the Aged an­nual din­ner. There will be re­fresh­ments in O’Ke­effe’s pub af­ter­wards so for those not in­ter­ested in run­ning or walk­ing you are welcome to come along for a cuppa and a chat. Your sup­port will be much ap­pre­ci­ated.

EN­TER­TAIN­MENT

Mu­sic ses­sion con­tin­ues every Mon­day night in O’Ke­effe’s pub. All mu­si­cians are very welcome. Mu­sic on Satur­day, July 20, by Ja­son, start­ing at 10 p.m.

On be­half of Pat Car­roll, who held a fundraiser for Crum­lin Hos­pi­tal last Satur­day night a big ‘Thank you’ for your sup­port.

GAA LOTTO

Knock­ananna GAA lotto re­sults July 14. Jack­pot €12,400. Num­bers drawn were 07-16-2023. No jack­pot win­ner. Match three win­ners: Jack Whe­lan, Martin and Áine O’Ke­effe, Peter Byrne and Leanne O’Neill. Seller’s prize: Pat Car­roll. This week’s jack­pot is €12,550. Tick­ets avail­able in Kath­leen’s shop, O’Ke­effes pub and from com­mit­tee mem­bers.

We con­tinue to meet on Mon­day and Thurs­day evenings to wa­ter flow­ers. Any­one in­ter­ested in help­ing are more than welcome to join us. We ask you to be aware of keep­ing the vil­lage lit­ter-free es­pe­cially dur­ing these beau­ti­ful sum­mer days when we have many vis­i­tors.
