Six stages of ex­cit­ing en­ter­tain­ment at this week­end’s Knock­an­stockan

SOME of the Irish mu­sic scene’s most ex­cit­ing acts will be tak­ing to the stage over three days as part of Knock­an­stockan 2019.

The mu­sic and art fes­ti­val takes place on the shores of the Bless­ing­ton Lakes on July 19, 20 and 21 with Irish fes­ti­val cir­cuit faves Donal Di­neen, Chief Kee­gan and Le Pizza Galaxie among the per­form­ers.

The Knock­an­stockan fes­ti­val site spans across pri­vately owned lands and will play host to six dif­fer­ent stages

Story-telling and de­sign will be tak­ing place at Wood­town and Knock­anSprogs, new stages that have been added to the fes­ti­val area.

Some of the acts due to per­form on the Fri­day open­ing in­clude Le Pizza Galaxie, Schindler’s Fist, TPM, Solkatt, Gal­way Street Club, Calvin James, Bats and Dead Lable.

The var­i­ous stages and tents will fea­ture live mu­sic and DJ per­for­mances on the Satur­day, in­clud­ing Tou­can, Tau, Thumper, Lunch Money Live, Soft­boy DJs, A Dif­fer­ent An­i­mal, Acid Granny, Jimmy Pen­guin, Guilty Boy As­so­ci­a­tion and Lil’ Bren­dan.

On the Sun­day au­di­ence mem­bers can look for­ward to watch­ing The Scratch, Kneecap, DJ Tahira, Ste­vie G and the Hot Sauce Dance Crew, Trad Rave, Donal Di­neen, Ste­vie Dar­ragh, Dowry, Good Name, SENU and Chief Kee­gan.

The carpark is lo­cated at Lacken vil­lage and a shut­tle bus ser­vice will be run­ning from the car park to the fes­ti­val field for €2. There is a €10 park­ing charge and the area will be locked and se­cured each night.
