‘Wheel-ey’ good show

THE Tom Kennedy Me­mo­rial Vin­tage & Clas­sic Car Show took place last Sun­day at the Kil­macanogue GAA Grounds.

The col­lec­tion of stun­ning cars were brought to the venue lo­cated at the foot of the Su­gar­loaf Moun­tain for a lovely day or­gan­ised by the Gar­den of Ire­land Vin­tage Club.

This was the sixth year of the pop­u­lar event, held in mem­ory of club mem­ber Tom, and to raise money for St Ann’s on­col­ogy ward at St Vincent’s.

Vis­i­tors and vin­tage car and bike own­ers came from far and wide to en­joy the event, The display also in­cluded some trac­tors and agri­cul­tural equip­ment.

As well as a display of im­pres­sive vin­tage ve­hi­cles, the day in­cluded a fun dog show and bouncy cas­tles, as well as re­fresh­ments.

There was live mu­sic at the event with Mil­dred Fox and Chris­tian Hind.

Bob Kin­sella was the win­ner of ‘Car of the Show’ with his MGA Road­ster. Brian Nolan was MC and pro­vided mu­sic for the day.

The event also in­cluded some stalls with crafts, bric-a-brac, food and other items for sale.
