Six teams set for bat­tle

SIX clubs will con­test for the Ju­nior ‘A’ and Ju­nior ‘B’ hurl­ing crowns in the com­ing weeks and months af­ter the draw was made at the County Board meet­ing in Bal­li­nakill last Mon­day evening.

The cham­pi­onship will con­sist of two grops of three teams with the top two teams meet­ing in the Ju­nior ‘A’ fi­nal and the sec­ond team of Group 1 fac­ing the third team in Group 2 and the sec­ond team in Group 2 meet­ing the third team in Group 1 in what will be the semi-fi­nals of the Ju­nior ‘B’ hurl­ing cham­pi­onships.

Last year’s beaten fi­nal­ists Bray Em­mets find them­selves in Group 1 with the re­turn­ing Aughrim and the ever-present Gle­nealy.

Group 2 will throw up some clas­sic strug­gles as Éire Óg Grey­stones, Kil­te­gan and Ark­low Rocks lock horns in the Ju­nior hurl­ing cham­pi­onship for 2019. FIX­TURES

Group 2: Ark­low Rock Par­nell v Éire Óg Grey­stones in Par­nell Park at 7.30pm

Group 2: Kil­te­gan v Ark­low Rock Par­nell in Kil­te­gan at 7.30pm.
