MEM­BERS of the pub­lic are in­vited to make ob­ser­va­tions on a Draft Noise Ac­tion Plan 2018 to 2023 pre­pared by Wick­low County Coun­cil.

The draft is in com­pli­ance with the requiremen­ts of the En­vi­ron­men­tal Noise Di­rec­tive and the En­vi­ron­men­tal Noise Reg­u­la­tions.

The doc­u­ment re­views the re­sults of Strate­gic Noise Map­ping un­der­taken within County Wick­low and de­tails the progress achieved in re­la­tion to the im­ple­men­ta­tion of the pre­vi­ous Noise Ac­tion Plan. The Draft Noise Ac­tion Plan 2018 - 2023 de­tails the in­tended ap­proach to be un­der­taken over the five-year life­time of the ac­tion plan to man­age and con­trol en­vi­ron­men­tal noise.

Any submission­s or ob­ser­va­tions in re­la­tion to draft may be made by email to noise­[email protected]­low­coco.ie or al­ter­na­tively in writ­ing to, The Se­nior Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer, Trans­porta­tion, Wa­ter and Emer­gency Ser­vices, Wick­low County Coun­cil, County Build­ings, Wick­low.

The dead­line for submission­s is Au­gust 15 and they should be clearly marked “Draft Noise Ac­tion Plan 2018 - 2023”.

The draft plans can be viewed in the County Build­ings, Wick­low town or any of the dis­trict of­fices dur­ing nor­mal open­ing hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mon­day through to Fri­day.
