Finding the perfect Montessori and creche childcare provider

Wicklow People (West Edition) - - ADVERTISING FEATURE -

AS WE enter in to the Autumn months, parents are faced with the task of thinking ahead and finding the perfect Montessori and creche childcare provider. It is no doubt a daunting task, but parents need not worry, there are numerous fantastic crèches and Montessori schools throughout the county.

Crèches and Montesssori schools are run by fully qualified business owners who offer a stimulating, loving and secure environment for children, those aged four months and older. We know that in modern times, parents are stretched for time, especially those working fulltime jobs and the value of services that crèches and Montessoris provide should not be underestimated.

Many of the children provide food, after school care, school drop offs and collections, but above all they provide safe, bright environment, where children can be themselves and thrive in an environment focused on their social development. The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme provides early childhood care and education for children of preschool age.

The scheme is offered in early years settings (pre-schools, Montessori’s, crèches, playgroups) for three hours a day, five days a week, 38 weeks of the year. All children are entitled to two full academic years on the scheme.

Children are eligible to start the ECCE scheme in the September of the year that they turn three years old and a child turning three this year, can be registered now in June in time for September. The ECCE scheme eases the financial burden on parents ahead of their little one starting in ‘big school’. Montessori schools are based on scientific research and are child centred schools.

Montessori owners adopt an approach that values the human spirit and the development of the whole child in terms of the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. There are numerous friendly, privately owned crèches and Montessoris and many offer weekly hourly rates. Offering the latest equipment, educational toys, arts and crafts materials and games.

Créche and Montessori school staff go above and beyond for the children in their care, giving children the freedom to explore in a safe, prepared environment. Montesssori schools are fully registered with TUSLA and HSE, AMI (Association Montessori International) and Early Childhood Ireland. Early childhood Ireland advises visiting the service premises and its facilities before making the choice to correctly judge the programme, atmosphere and staff health and safety.

Creche and Montessori owners work in conjunction with parents to ensure their children’s needs are met. Many of which have outdoor play areas ensuring your child gets fresh air, especially in the summer time.

The staff in many crèches and Montessori schools are up-skilled regularly and they are always on hand for your child, including developing their academic and social skills.

They are also there for your little one on difficult days and do everything from change nappies, feed babies, encourage children and much, much more. Creche workers instil a love for learning within each child from an early age, which can only help them to thrive further down the line. Montessori schools and crèches are open weekdays, usually from around 8 a.m. till around 6 p.m. Most have very limited places remaining for the coming school year, so please phone immediately your local creche or Montessori school for details.
