Kicking things off will be wildlife filmmaker Colin Stafford-Johnson, who will reveal tales of adventure – and misadventure – as he discusses his ‘Wild Atlantic Journey’ on Saturday, September 7. Tom O’Mahony will star in ‘Defending the Cavemen’ on Friday, September 27. The longest-running one-person show on Broadway, it will challenge and demystify the differences between the sexes.

The little folk will have happy feet on Saturday, September 28, when Donal Dineen will play a special DJ set just for kids.

The Bangers and Crash Percussion Group will bring their unique sound to the Mermaid on Friday, October 4, when they will perform a programme of 20th century works by composers including Philip Glass, Steve Reich and Thierry De Mey.

Fusing acrobatics with comedy, the show tells the story of two brothers who run into trouble, cause a little mayhem and find out if fame is really what they’re looking for.

Jon Kenny will show he’s a man of many talents as he plays a number of roles in ‘Crowman’. Taking place on Thursday, November 21, the primary character, Dan feels like a loner but, as the play progresses, discovers he’s not as much of an outsider as he thinks.

On Friday, November 22, Crash Ensemble will bring their adventurous, ground-breaking music to the Mermaid. The group has had some of the most distinctive living composers write for them and had many wellknown artists perform with them.

December’s schedule kicks off with a visit from Phil Coulte, who will be playing a number of hits (and song he thought should have been hits) from a 50-year career on Friday, December 6.
