Ladies Football: Well done to our ladies team who edged out a victory in a very close match away to a young and impressive Barndarrig side on Tuesday night in Round 2 of the championship. Final score of 0-8 to 5-3.
It really was an all-round team performance from Kilbride but a special mention goes to the defensive work from Tara Roche, Ciara Roche, Claire Francis, Katherine Ward, Chloe Freehill, Catriona Reneghan, Gearóidín Burke as well as Lauren McDonald in goals who protected the net relentlessly.
Our next and final group game is away to Blessington; date and time TBC.

A busy week ahead for our teams in championship football, the Senior ladies play Blessington away Wednesday night the 14th.
The Junior ‘B’ team played Rathnew in their first game in the championship. A close game - it was seven each at half time, Rathnew ran out winners 14-12.
Next up the Junior ‘B’ team play AGB in round 2 on Thursday, August 15, in Pearse’s Park at 7.30pm
The Junior ‘A’ team play Éire Óg Greystones in the championship in Round 3 in Aughrim on Friday 16th August at 7.25pm

The under-7 boys continue training on Thursday evening at 6.15pm. We have Go Games at home this Saturday the 17th at 11.00am. We will meet at the pitch at 10.40am.

A good match for the lads saw great skill and Football on display from AGBs Junior Bs and make their mark in the Junior ‘B’ championship. Final score finished in favour of Dunlavin, AGB 1-16 to DUNLAVIN 1-20. Hard luck, lads.

The Junior ‘A’ football team having already accounted for Lacken-Kilbride and Hollywood in the group stages of the championship will face what is arguably their toughest challenge of the season so far when they travel to Baltinglass on Saturday next, August 17, to take on championship favourites Valleymount.
The management team of John Smith, Noel Murphy, Pat Doyle, Francis Simpson and Donal Weafer will be hoping their charges can maintain their impressive form of late and continue their unbeaten run. Throw in is at 5pm and all support would be appreciated.
