Dis­tin­guished guests for trav­ellers ‘House warm­ing’

Two govern­ment min­is­ters and to Dáil deputies are among a dis­tin­guished list of peo­ple in­vited to at­tend a ‘house-warm­ing’ party in New­town­moun­tkennedy next week.

The venue is the new home of Mr and Mrs Billy Mur­phy, and the party is sched­uled for Thurs­day night.

Mr and Mrs Mur­phy are a trav­el­ling fam­ily who are well known in the area and they wish to be­come part of the set­tled com­mu­nity. They are look­ing for­ward to wel­com­ing their neigh­bours and mem­bers of the set­tled com­mu­nity into their new home. The big list of in­vited guests in­cludes the Min­is­ter for Labour, Liam Ka­vanagh; the Min­is­ter for Ed­u­ca­tion, Gemma Hussey; Deputies Godfrey Tim­mins and Paudge Bren­nan, Mr Kevin Ryan, Chair­man of Wicklow County Coun­cil; Miss Nora Fitz­patrick, Chair­per­son of Wicklow Ur­ban Coun­cil; Mr Sea­mus Hayes, County Man­ager; Garda Su­per­in­ten­dent John Han­ra­han, Bray; Garda Su­per­in­ten­dent TJ Nea­gle, Wicklow, and many more.

Dur­ing the party, the County Wicklow Com­mit­tee for the Rights of Trav­ellers will present a gift of fire irons made at St Kieran’s Train­ing Cen­tre for Trav­el­ling Peo­ple in Bray.
