The fol­low­ing are the walks for the next two weeks for Ti­na­hely Walk­ing Club. Au­gust 18: Black­stairs Part 2: Scul­logue Gap, Black­stairs, Mt – Glynn. Level B+, 18km, six hours. Meet Bun­clody 9.15 a.m. Au­gust 25: Cur­r­a­cloe. Level C, 8km, 2.5 hours. Meet Cur­r­a­cloe car park 10 a.m.

As usual, please re­mem­ber to wear proper walk­ing boots, pack full rain gear and bring ad­e­quate food and drink. Please check Ti­na­hely Walk­ing Club Face­book page for any changes to the sched­uled walks.


There will be a house clear­ance sale in Drum­mond, Gorey (Patty Ro­gans house) on Satur­day, Au­gust 17, at 11 a.m. No rea­son­able of­fer re­fused. For fur­ther in­for­ma­tion contact Jim Gil­bert 086 8406786.


The Gar­den County Coun­try Fest is on from Sep­tem­ber 13 to Sep­tem­ber 15. in Carnew Her­itage field on the Main Carnew Road op­po­site Carnew Mart. Tick­ets are now on sale. Teenage Disco tick­ets and Adult Tick­ets are now avail­able in Vic­tors Newsagents, Clas­sic Cut Hair­dressers and from all mem­bers of Carnew GAA Club or Carnew Her­itage Club. A great line up of artists in­clud­ing Derek Ryan, Theresa and the Stars, Take 5 and more.


There will be a Pop up Shop in the old Fi­nesse Bou­tique on the Main Street in Carnew for the com­ing weeks, open­ing times on the door, items in­clude sports wear, mu­si­cal in­stru­ments, cloth­ing, Brice a brac, fur­ni­ture and lots more, all items must be sold so pop in and grab a bar­gain.

All pro­ceeds to Hol­ly­wood comes to Askamore for the For­rest Gump Group to­wards Bal­lyel­lis NS and Askamore Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, all sup­port wel­come and if you would like to do­nate items call into the shop or phone Breda at 087 6357361.
