DARTS FUNDRAISER

A fundraisin­g darts night will take place in the Wood­pecker, Ash­ford, from 7 p.m. to help cover the costs of Jamie and Sean Cum­mins trav­el­ling to Gi­bral­ter to rep­re­sent Ire­land in the JDC World Cup of Darts. PDC World Cup run­ner-up Steve Len­non will be present on the night and there will be a raf­fle held.

BAT­TLE OF THE BLOODY BANKS

The Me­dieval Bray Project will host this talk by David McIl­reavy, which will dis­cuss the im­me­di­ate lead up to the Bat­tle of the Bloody Banks, which took place at Sun­ny­bank, near Bray in 1402. The talk will look at what can be de­duced about the bat­tle it­self and com­pa­ra­ble events dur­ing the pe­riod. Ad­mis­sion is free to the talk at 7 p.m. in Bray Li­brary. MOVIES BY THE BANDSTAND

The Great­est Show­man will be screened at Bray Bandstand at 8 p.m., (run­ning time one hour 46 min­utes). Events are free and no tick­ets are re­quired. Screen­ings are sub­ject to change with­out no­tice and are de­pen­dent on weather. Au­di­ence mem­bers can bring a blan­ket, deck chair or camp chair. Pets and al­co­hol are pro­hib­ited.

TA­BLE QUIZ

As part of its an­nual He­roes fundraisin­g cam­paign, Wood­ies in Bray is host­ing a ta­ble quiz at 8 p.m. in the Martello, Bray. The cost of en­try is €40 for a ta­ble of four and a raf­fle will also take place on the night. This year’s cam­paign is rais­ing funds for Hand in Hand Chil­dren’s Char­ity, Autism As­sis­tance Dogs Ire­land, Tem­ple Street Chil­dren’s Hospi­tal and the ISPCC.
