Coffee morning raises €3,500 for St Catherine’s
PAULINE Leonard’s coffee morning in aid of St Catherine’s Association raised over €3,500, with donations still coming in.
The hugely successful coffee morning was held in the Pastoral Centre in Wicklow town and also included a raffle.
Pauline’s grandchild, two-and-a halfyear-old Stella, was born with Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder. She attends St Catherine’s Early Services, which has proved incredibly beneficial to Stella.
Pauline decided to organise the fundraiser after learning that St. Catherine’s Early Services planned to purchase an assessment tool for around €2,000. Pauline’s efforts mean they can also purchase additional equipment now as well.
‘I never expected such generosity and I have to thank everyone for their kindness,’ said Pauline.
‘We raised over €3,500 but people are still making donations. I want to thank everyone who supported the event. We are all so grateful.’
