Holy Rosary dur­ing Au­gust: The Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Mon­day to Fri­day in the church, be­side Our Lady’s Ban­ner.

Tesco Com­mu­nity Char­ity To­kens (Blue To­kens): The Holy Redeemer Re­fur­bish­ment Fund has been al­lo­cated a Com­mu­nity Fund Col­lec­tion Tube in Tesco Store, Ve­vay Road, Bray for eight weeks com­menc­ing from Mon­day, Au­gust 19. We would ap­pre­ci­ate your sup­port by do­nat­ing your blue to­ken to­wards our worth­while cause. Thank You.

Hos­pi­tal­ity: Our Hos­pi­tal­ity Teams are tak­ing a well earned break from Septem­ber Sun­day, Septem­ber 1, to Sun­day, Septem­ber 22, tea and Cof­fees will re­sume on Sun­day, Septem­ber 29, with Team A.If you would like to join one of the teams we would love to have you on board. Kids Club: Our Lady Queen of Peace Fam­ily Mass Group meet ev­ery Wed­nes­day from 2.45 p.m. till 3.30 p.m. in the Villa Pacis in prepa­ra­tion for fam­ily friendly Mass start­ing in Septem­ber. Chil­dren of all ages are wel­come for gospel sto­ries, arts and crafts, prayers and hymns.

Knock Pil­grim­age Mass: A Mass in hon­our of the Holy Face will take place on Satur­day, Septem­ber 14, St Therese Holy Face Prayer Group and Hu­man Life In­ter­na­tional (Ire) are hold­ing their sev­enth an­nual Mass of Atone­ment and Repa­ra­tion. See No­tice in Church Porch for de­tails.

Holy Ghost Mis­sions: The Holy Ghost Mis­sions wish to con­vey their deep grat­i­tude to our kind parish­ioners for their gen­er­ous con­tri­bu­tions and loyal sup­port to their re­cent en­ve­lope col­lec­tion.

Lour­des: A pe­ti­tion box and book are in place at the Al­tar. These pe­ti­tions will be pre­sented to Our Lady at the Grotto for all your in­ten­tions. Please do not put money in the en­velopes or the pe­ti­tion box. A meet­ing took place last Mon­day night for all those trav­el­ling to Lour­des in the Villa Pacis.

Thanks to Mike, nine mem­bers of the Queen of Peace ad­ven­ture Youth Club en­joyed a visit to Dalkey Cas­tle where they minted some me­dieval coins be­fore vis­it­ing Sandy­cove Beach where they had lunch. Fol­low­ing that they went to Joyce’s Tower. Lastly they walked into Dun Laoghaire where they had re­fresh­ment, and then re­turned home hav­ing had a very good day out.

Mike’s co-leader was Emer, and this was just one of the many trips and events that Mike has on his pro­gramme for the club. The club needs new lead­ers to help de­liver their in­ter­est­ing and chal­leng­ing win­ter pro­gramme.


Con­grat­u­la­tions to Stephen Power and to David Spe­icher both have com­pleted train­ing for the one star diver cer­tifi­cate and will be tested for same within the next 10 days. This qual­i­fi­ca­tion has world­wide recog­ni­tion and is a licence to dive at any div­ing cen­tre. They are ac­tive mem­bers of Wick­low Aqua­nauts which is based in Grey­stones Har­bour. Monthly in­door lec­tures of the Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, the lo­cal his­tory so­ci­ety for the Bray and North Wick­low Area, will re­sume in Septem­ber in the Royal Ho­tel, Bray, when the au­tumn pro­gramme will com­mence, de­tails of which will an­nounced shortly.

The so­ci­ety takes this op­por­tu­nity to thank all those who sup­ported the two walks led by Brian White and the two li­brary talks pre­sented by James Scan­nell.
