SHEEP SHOW

The 52nd an­nual Aughrim Sheep Show and sale will take place in Carnew Mart on Fri­day, Septem­ber 6, at 9 a.m. En­tries forms avail­able from Alan Kin­sella 087 2792157, padraighea­[email protected] hot­mail.com and the Mart Of­fice. The day will be rounded off with a Pre­sen­ta­tion Cabaret on the night in O’Toole’s, Aughrim at 9 p.m.

TAI CHI/QI GONG CLASSES

Learn gen­tle flow­ing healing move­ments that re­lieve stress, im­prove flex­i­bil­ity and mo­bil­ity. Tai Chi and Qi Gong Classes are com­menc­ing on Wed­nes­day evening, Septem­ber 4, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Aughrim Sports and Leisure Com­plex. The cost is €80 for a block of eight classes. Be­gin­ners Wel­come.

LOTTO

The num­bers 2, 4, 9 and 12 were drawn in this week’s Aughrim Sports club lotto Au­gust 26 the jack­pot was won by Peggy Car­roll. Match-three win­ner were: Anne New­some c/o Bobby, Kyle Kee­gan, Ca­tri­ona Leeson, Emily Byrne, and Michael Stapleton. The jack­pot is €1,500.

The weekly lotto sup­ports Aughrim camo­gie club, Aughrim GAA club, Aughrim Rangers Soccer club and Aughrim sports com­plex. Peo­ple, who sup­port the weekly lotto are lend­ing sup­port to the lo­cal sports clubs who are very much part of the com­mu­nity.

GAA NEWS

Our adult hurlers lost out by a goal in an ab­so­lute thriller in Bal­li­nakill last Wed­nes­day night against Bray in the Ju­nior Hurl­ing Cham­pi­onship. We now play Éire Óg next Satur­day evening in the semi-fi­nal of the Ju­nior B hurl­ing cham­pi­onship. Please come along and sup­port.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to Aughrim Ju­ve­nile player James Lam­bert, who took first place in the all-Ire­land tin whis­tle un­der-12 com­pe­ti­tion and sec­ond in the all-Ire­land un­der-12.but­ton ac­cor­dion. James is also an ac­com­plished hurler and foot­baller with Aughrim Ju­ve­niles.

YOGA CLASSES

Yoga with Yvonne Doyle in Aughrim Sports Com­plex. New six-week terms of yoga classes com­mence on Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 11, at 8 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. and Mon­day, Septem­ber 16, at 9.30 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. Six-week term €60, drop in rate €13.
