‘Au­tumn Glory’ a demon­stra­tion by Ali Keogh will take place on Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 11, at 8 p.m. in the Jonathan Swift School Hall. All wel­come, sup­per served.


Next out­ing to Moyleabbey Farm, Bal­li­tore on Septem­ber 5 at 5.30 p.m. There will also be in­for­ma­tion on the Ex­tinc­tion Re­bel­lion.


A spon­sored walk in aid of Down Syn­drome Ire­land will take place on Sunday, Septem­ber 22. It is the ninth year of the walk and hope­fully peo­ple will sup­port it again this year. For more in­for­ma­tion con­tact Liz Gib­bons at 087 9670240.


Cre­ative drama en­cour­ages chil­dren to be and ex­press them­selves; de­velop their con­fi­dence; use their imag­i­na­tion; learn how to col­lab­o­rate and create with oth­ers; make friends and have lots of fun.

Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude: Fun drama games and ex­er­cises; Im­pro­vi­sa­tion and sto­ry­telling; Cre­at­ing char­ac­ters; Move­ment; Prop and pup­pet mak­ing; Draw­ing, Paint­ing and other mak­ing ac­tiv­i­ties.

There will be a fun free taster ses­sion on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 19, from 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Imaal Hall. To regis­ter text/call Carol at 086 3553026 with your child’s name and age.

Course De­tails – Dates and Times: Thursdays 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. start­ing Oc­to­ber 3 for eight weeks (NB no class on Oc­to­ber 31). at Imaal Hall, Co. Wick­low. Age: 6-10 years. Cost: €120. Sib­ling dis­count avail­able (€100 per child if sib­lings).

Set danc­ing classes will take place in Donard Hall on Septem­ber 9 at 8.30 p.m.

Mu­sic Classes will recom­mence on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 12, at 8 p.m. in Donard Na­tional School. New mem­bers wel­come to come along.


Dunlavin and District Fo­rum are de­lighted to part­ner with Dunlavin Friend­ship Club in avail­ing of a scheme being rolled out by Muin­tir na Tire. This scheme al­lows for the pro­vi­sion of car­bon monox­ide alarms in houses that don’t al­ready have them. Alarms will be pro­vided and in­stalled free of charge with a max­i­mum of two per house­hold.

This Muin­tir na Tire pro­gramme is aimed at per­sons who do not have ex­ist­ing alarms and do not have the re­sources to in­stall alarms them­selves. We would par­tic­u­larly in­vite those over 65 to avail of the scheme.
