WALKING AND TRAILS GROUP
The Hollywood Walking and Trails Group meet every Tuesday evening in the lovely village of Hollywood at 7 p.m. outside Tutty’s Pub. Our regular walks include the Hollywood Forest, White Bog and the Hollywood Loop talking in part of St Kevin’s Way to Church Mt.
We also have Wellness Walks for those who like a level steady pace; these walks include the Hollywood Glen, part of the Forest walk and the Hollywood Heritage Trail.
Ideal walks for beginners and those who are building their fitness levels, or for people who simply want to walk for an hour and enjoy the flora and fauna along with the companionship of other walkers. Weekend walks take place once a month, the date and venue is confirmed by the team leaders in advance at our Tuesday walks.
The Hollywood Walking and Trails Group welcomes all age groups interested in walking, our philosophy is ‘We don’t stop walking because we are grow old; we grow old because we stop walking’. We also encourage families to come on our walks, children and teenagers less than 18 years under parent supervision and any organisations and clubs who would enjoy an evening out walking.
Currently we don’t have a joining fee so come along and enjoy the benefits of walking, getting fit, meeting new people and more important being part of all Hollywood has to offer, a connection with nature to rebalance ones equilibrium in this busy world, beautiful village, delightful scenery, community sprite and pride of place.
