Semi-final pairings made

BARNDARRIG’S 2-10 to 2-4 victory over Kilmacanogue last Thursday night sends the Kilmacurra men into a county semi-final against St Pat’s who shocked the GAA world in Wicklow by beating the fancied Éire Óg Greystones in Annacurra on the same evening.

St Pat’s, backboned by Senior hurlers such as Adny O’Brien, George ‘Bee’ O’Brien and John Connors to name but a few, will be a serious test for the Barndarrig men in their semi-final on Friday, September 27 in Avondale.

The other semi-final will see a formidable Coolkenno side take on the men from Goosebank in Annacurra on the same night.

Coolkenno got the better of Donard-The Glen in their quarter-final battle in Ballinakill last Thursday thanks in no small part to the performance of Rory Tompkins.

Kilcoole toppled Valleymount (report above) and both semi-finals have the potential to be cracking games of football.
