An­nual wreath-lay­ing cer­e­mony

THE AN­NUAL wreath-lay­ing cer­e­mony will take place this week­end to re­mem­ber many of those who served their coun­try and its peo­ple.

The cer­e­mony takes place this Satur­day, Septem­ber 28, at 1.30 p.m. at the memo­rial gar­den on the Mur­rough in Wick­low town, which is lo­cated be­side the old FCA train­ing hut.

Among those in­vited to lay wreaths in mem­ory of their de­ceased mem­bers are ONE, IUNVA, Civil De­fence, Coast Guard and the fire ser­vice. This year, the fam­i­lies of the late Lt-Col Pa­trick Ho­la­han and Comdt Pa­trick Rochford of ‘B’ Com­pany 21st Inf Bn FCA have also been in­vited to lay wreaths.

This event has been or­gan­ised by for­mer mem­bers of the 21 Inf Bn FCA.
