Thrombosis roadshow in old gaol

Wicklow People (West Edition) - - NEWS -

A ‘Stop the Clot’ Thrombosis prevention awareness roadshow visits Wicklow Gaol carpark this Thursday.

Blood clots affect many people from all walks of life and people of all ages. Anyone can be affected by blood clots as they do not discriminate.

Tragically, too many lives are affected by blood clots, and too many lives are lost because awareness about life-threatening blood clots is so low. Studies show that fewer than one in four people have any recognition of blood clots or their signs and symptoms.

The roadshow will visit Wicklow town from 9 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. and aim to teach people to recognise the signs and symptoms, information which could save lives and prevent the devastating damage.
