GAA club action

Wicklow People (West Edition) - - COMMUNITY NEWS -

It is going to be a very busy weekend for our GAA Club with both our seniors and Junior A’s in action in the championship.

First up on Friday night in Hollywood will be the JuniorA’s who will take on old rivals Baltinglass in the quarter-finals with the winners progressing to the semi-finals and a match against Valleymount last year’s beaten finalists. It promises to be a real cracker.

Then all roads will lead to Aughrim on Sunday where our seniors will be in action in the semi-finals against AGB This also looks like being a real cracker with the Blues hoping to qualify for their second County Finals in three years while AGB will be hoping to qualify for their first County Final having narrowly lost out in last year’s semi-final.

The GAA Club is appealing to all supporters’ to make an effort and get along to both Hollywood and Aughrim and give the lads plenty of vocal support. You can be the 16th man. I would like to wish the best of luck to both teams. Let’s hope both Friday and Sunday will be blue days. Come on you ‘Blues’.
