Blessington under-12s played a great game last Saturday v Lucan Utd. Blessington playing against the wind in the first half battled well to keep the score 0-0 at half time with some great defending. The second half of the game was a different match with the wind at their backs and Blessington took full advantage with a thundering volley from Jamie O’Toole to go 1-0 up. Paddy Murray then got on the scoresheet after being put through on goal and finished well with another belter in the top corner. Daniel Smith scored a cracking third goal shortly after on his debut hitting a well struck shot high into the top corner. The home team tried to get back into the game and had a few good chances but couldn’t find the net and Blessington held out for their well earned win. Final score Lucan Utd 0 Blessington 3.

The under-13 girls had another amazing performance from the girls

in Knocklyon. They came up against a newly set up team like themselves and came out winners. It really shows how far we have come in just a few weeks. Some amazing team play and some amazing solo goals.

They got their first win in style and have scored 18 goals in the first three games. The club is super proud of everyone of them. The goals came from Ella Richardson, Robyn Brennan, Leah Richardson and summer Olusanya. Too hard to pick a player of the match as everyone was brilliant. Looking forward to the next game.

Blessington GAA Under 15s enjoying their day out at the Zip Line at The Avon.
