Patchwork group to host exhibition
Wicklow Patchwork Group is inviting people to come along and see what they do at a free exhibition taking place this weekend.
The group will hold the exhibition from Friday, September 27, to Sunday, September 29, at St Matthew’s Church of Ireland in Newtownmountkennedy. The exhibition will reveal the diversity of work carried out by members of the group – which includes everything from enthusiastic beginner to very experienced quilter – while demonstrations will also be held.
A collaborative quilt, made by members in aid of their 2019 charity Lakers, will also be raffled off.
The exhibition will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Wicklow Patchwork Group first met in the spring of 2014 and has met every month since. The group welcomes members and visitors to their meetings, which are held in the Community Hall, Newtownmountkennedy, on the third Saturday of each month. For more information, visit www.wicklowpatchwork.ie.
