Patch­work group to host ex­hi­bi­tion

Wick­low Patch­work Group is invit­ing peo­ple to come along and see what they do at a free ex­hi­bi­tion tak­ing place this week­end.

The group will hold the ex­hi­bi­tion from Fri­day, Septem­ber 27, to Sunday, Septem­ber 29, at St Matthew’s Church of Ire­land in New­town­moun­tkennedy. The ex­hi­bi­tion will re­veal the di­ver­sity of work car­ried out by mem­bers of the group – which in­cludes ev­ery­thing from en­thu­si­as­tic be­gin­ner to very ex­pe­ri­enced quil­ter – while demon­stra­tions will also be held.

A col­lab­o­ra­tive quilt, made by mem­bers in aid of their 2019 char­ity Lak­ers, will also be raf­fled off.

The ex­hi­bi­tion will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Fri­day, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Satur­day and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Wick­low Patch­work Group first met in the spring of 2014 and has met ev­ery month since. The group wel­comes mem­bers and vis­i­tors to their meet­ings, which are held in the Com­mu­nity Hall, New­town­moun­tkennedy, on the third Satur­day of each month.
