TRANSITION YEAR NEWS

TY 19/20 has all ready hit the ground running. Our group of 60 students have really embraced the opportunities the year presents them with and it is great to see such enthusiasm for their new modules and units. Lets hope it continues for the rest of the year!

Last Friday 13th saw over 40 of our students dotted around the town collecting money for the amazing Barnardos charity. It was fairly cold and blustery out there but credit to all, smiles remained firmly in place and a huge sum was raised and is still being counted.

The group are also had a ball at the national ploughing match, another tradition which saw our TY’s scouring the show grounds for as many free samples as possible.

Finally i’d like to say a huge thank you to all the staff in EGS who make TY possible. We are incredibly lucky to have such a diverse and talented bunch of teachers who can offer the myriad of different options available. Classes such as Bake Off, Yoga, Run-a-Muck, Scuba, Pound Fit, Car restoration, Swimming, Zoology, Adventure Sports, Coding, Crafts, etc etc etc. Thank you all
