Ash­ford Com­mu­nity Group launches its 2020 cal­en­dar

ASH­FORD Com­mu­nity Group launched a new cal­en­dar on Fri­day night in the Bel Air Ho­tel as the group pre­pares to cel­e­brate its 20th an­niver­sary next year.

The cal­en­dar fea­tures nu­mer­ous pho­to­graphs cap­tur­ing some of Ash­ford’s se­nior cit­i­zens en­joy­ing them­selves at dif­fer­ent events or­gan­ised by Ash­ford Com­mu­nity Group down through the years. There are also pho­to­graphs in­cluded of dif­fer­ent fundrais­ers which have taken place.

The cal­en­dar was launched by Nuala Byrne and Clodagh Mur­ray from Adrian Dunnes Phar­macy. Cal­en­dars are re­tail­ing at €7 and can be pur­chased from busi­ness’s in Ash­ford, Wick­low Post Of­fice or from any mem­ber of the com­mit­tee.

There was also an­other event to cel­e­brate on the night – the lo­cal priest, Fr Ea­monn Crosson was cel­e­brat­ing his 70th birth­day and the Com­mit­tee and mem­bers sang “happy birth­day” while he cut his birth­day cake.

The Wick­low Man pro­vided the mu­sic and kept the floor full all evening. A great night was had by all at this com­mu­nity cel­e­bra­tions. MORE PHOTOS NEXT WEEK
