A County Wicklow business has been shortlisted in two categories at the 2019 Export Industry Awards.

Blessington-based Ventac has been nominated for awards in the Export Innovation of the Year, Services Exporter of the Year. The business, in operation since 1972, works with international clients in the vehicle and industrial noise control industries.

The Irish Exporters Association recently announced the shortlist of 43 companies across 12 categories for the 2019 awards.

Simon McKeever, Chief Executive of the Irish Exporters Association, said: ‘We are delighted to today announce 43 shortlisted companies across the 12 categories for this year’s Export Industry Awards. Now in their 19th year, the Export Industry Awards recognise the outstanding achievement of businesses exporting from Ireland as well as those companies that support the sector.

‘This year there is a very competitive field with a strong focus on innovation and outstanding achievement. Under the Chairmanship of former Ambassador Bobby McDonagh, our independent Judging Panel was particularly impressed by businesses’ resilience in the face of global headwinds and investment in innovative solutions.’

The winners of Export Industry Awards will be announced at a gala ceremony and dinner on Friday, November 8.
