There was a won­der­ful at­mos­phere at the re­cent of­fi­cial open­ing of Tom Lawler’s sec­ond solo ex­hi­bi­tion.

The event drew a crowd of art lovers who came to ad­mire the eye-catch­ing ab­stract art on dis­play. A tal­ented artist with no for­mal train­ing, Tom was joined by friends, fam­ily and well-wish­ers to cel­e­brate the open­ing of the ex­hi­bi­tion.

Twelve of Tom’s colour­ful paint­ings in acrylic inks and a num­ber of ce­ramic sculp­tures are on dis­play. A num­ber of Tom’s vi­brant paint­ings sold on the night.

Among the guests for the open­ing night was his art teacher Fiona O’Hara, Coun­cil­lor Pat Fitzger­ald, Cathaoir­leach of Ark­low Mu­nic­i­pal Dis­trict, Ark­low Vis­ual Arts Gallery chair­man An­drew Man­son and staff from Sun­beam Ser­vices.

The ex­hi­bi­tion of Tom Lawler’s art con­tin­ues un­til Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 11. Ark­low Vis­ual Arts Gallery is open Mon­day to Fri­day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All are wel­come.
