Singing work­shop open to all lev­els

SHARON Du­rant and Kather­ine Ze­ser­son will visit the Gar­den County for a dy­namic, en­joy­able and cre­ative singing work­shop.

They are both two of the found­ing mem­bers of Mouth­ful, an in­no­va­tive UK-based a cap­pella quar­tet. Mouth­ful have been lead­ing par­tic­i­pa­tory singing projects in the UK for over 15 years, work­ing with peo­ple of all ages on cre­at­ing, learn­ing and per­form­ing all kinds of vo­cal mu­sic in vi­brant, in­clu­sive com­mu­nity cel­e­bra­tions. Mouth­ful are com­mit­ted to the in­clu­sive joy of singing, first and foremost.

The work­shop takes place on Oc­to­ber 19 at Cler­mont Wick­low County Cam­pus, Rath­new from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at­a­costof€10.

In this work­shop, Sharon and Kather­ine will teach a va­ri­ety of har­mony songs, rounds and short pieces through which par­tic­i­pants will be able to ex­plore breath­ing, range and other as­pects of vo­cal tech­nique, have fun try­ing out some move­ment with singing and ex­tend their cho­ral en­sem­ble skills.
