‘Jedward are great role models for young people’

-

FROM the likes of the TLT to Azerbaijan: that’s the route Jedward are looking at for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The Grimes twins, who have sold out the Drogheda venue a number of times, and are reported to be coming back shortly for another gig, are in full voice in advance of the Irish Song Contest on February 24.

And acting as mentor for them is Linda Martin!

‘What super lads they are,’ she disclosed.

Linda is one of five ‘coaches’ for the Irish finals of the event and she is presently working with the two lads as they bid to return to the European stage.

They did really well in Germany last year and have their eyes on an even better performance in Azer- baijan later this year.

But seeing off the four other acts on a Late Late Show special is first on the agenda.

‘ The lads are very popular but there will be nothing taken for granted. We need the votes like everyone else,’ she stated.

But the question everyone asks - are the lads as zany as they appear off stage?

‘ They are the kindest, nicest young men you will ever meet. I think Jedward are really great role models for young people at a time when they are needed. They have a great work ethic and enjoy themselves,’ she stated.

‘Every vote is going to be crucial for us, so readers, get behind Jedward on February 24!
