TINAHELY SHOW SOCIETY

The Annual General Meeting of Tinahely Agricultur­al Show Society will be held in the Orchard Centre, killaveney, tinahely on Monday March 12 at 8.15 p.m. All Committee members and helpers are requested to attend.persons interested in getting involved in the Society will be welcome.

NEW VETINERY CLINIC

COLAISTE BHRIDE

Colaiste Bhride are once again hosting a Model Exhibition in the school this year. The event takes place on Sunday 5th March from 11am to 5pm. There will be 45 different exhibition­s including Diarama, railways, Sylvanian families and model windmills. Entry will cost €5 for an individual or €10 for a family. All proceeds go towards the Concert Band. This will be a wonderful family day out.

COMMUNITY PLAYGROUND

The Playground Committee wish

to thank everybody that so generously supported the recent playground fund raiser. This super effort means that we are well on the way to having the necessary funds we require to get the grant we need for the junior playground. A final figure is not yet available as local businesses and organisati­ons continue to contribute. When that figure is complete, we'll be letting everyone know how incredible Tinahely can be when the whole community works together. The senior recreation area is nearly complete and once all the important details are in place, like insurance and CCTV, it will be opened. WALKING FESTIVAL

Attention Tinahely businesses - the annual Tinahely Walking Festival commences the weekend of 13,14,15 April 2012, with an exciting range of walks to suit all abilities. PLAYBUS PROJECT

County Wicklow Playbus Project are bringing Buala Bus to the GAA Grounds, Tinahely* on Tuesday 21st February from 1.30pm - 3.30pm*. Buala Bus welcomes all pre-school aged children and their parents/guardians to come aboard Buala bus and see what we have to offer. We look forward to seeing you. TINAHELY GAA NOTES

The senior club played the first game of the year last weekend at home against Castlederm­ot. Members of both the senior and junior panels took part and there were plenty of positives to take from the game. The Sports Prediction Competitio­n is back again this year and there are plenty of cash prizes up for grabs. All details can be found on the club website or by contacting David Blake. All funds raised will go to Tinahely GAA club. Training takes place tomorrow night, Thursday 16th March for all players from the minor, junior and senior panels. Finally the date has been set for our annual Race Night. It will be held in O’connor’s on the 3rd March and it would be great if everyone involved in the club could come to support.
