HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Membership of the Old Kilnenor Historical Society is now due at €20 for the year. New members are welcome.

For our next talk Kevin Lee (retired Principal Carnew) will give a talk on Thursday, November 16, in the May Byrne Trust House in Coolgreany. Kevin will give a talk on the history of Coolattin Estate and surroundin­g areas. Admission €3 for non-members.

COMMUNITY ALERT

The Local Community Alert are appealing to all members of our community to be as observant as possible and always be on the lookout for any unnecessar­y intruders into our local community. Please report anything unusual to the local garda in Gorey 053 9430690. Also keep on the lookout for all our senior citizens.

We are asking local community members to pay a visit to any of our senior citizens as often as possible to have a chat or maybe even to get some messages for those who may have no other support. Remember it could be anyone who may need that help in the future.
