ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

We held our first meeting and the parade will be going ahead this year on March 17 as usual, starting from the Lower Street at 11.30 p.m., after assembling on the Inch road side of the Lower Street.

We are looking for people’s views and ideas for this year’s parade, so if you have any new ideas, please let us know or even better if you’d like to join the committee. We’d love to hear from you. You can contact Imelda McCarthy at 087 1310555 or Maureen Kelly.

It’s time to get your thinking hats on. What wild and wonderful idea can you come up with this year? Lots of different categories. Make sure you don’t miss the fun. Looking forward to hearing all your marvellous ideas.

CARD DRIVE

The local area was very close to lock down over last weekend when the snowstorm left most roads almost impassable for a number of days, and in many cases 4-wheel drives were the only means of transport for many who needed to get out of their home.

HANDBALL LOTTO

Coolgreany Handball lotto now stands at €4,200, lotto tickets are available in Jim Short’s, Coolgreany post office, O’Rafferty’s. and Liam Clare Snr. A new prize format is now in place, with seven lucky dips worth €30 each and one Sellers Prize. In the last draw there was one lucky-dip winner Darren O’Toole Coolgreany, receiving €30 each. Your support is very much appreciated by the club.
