SILENT AUCTION
The silent auction which had to be postponed last Saturday due to the storm will now take place on Saturday next, March 10, in D onoughmore hall from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Afternoon tea will be served and there will be cake and plant stalls. Your help would be appreciated.
FOOTBALL CLUB NOTES
The lotto jackpot now stands at €9,400. Last week John O’Toole, Lily O’Reilly, Anthony McDermott and Mary Keogh matched three and won €50 each.
SNOW STORM
Last week’s storm again brought to the fore that wonderful community spirit that exists in Donard/Glen and makes it such a great place to live. Sincere thanks to all who cheerfully lent a helping hand or a dig out where needed especially to our shopkeeper, John O’Keeffe, who went to extraordinary lengths to keep the shop open and stocked. Dunlavin Flower and Garden Club will host a demonstration in the Jonathan Swift School Hall, Dunlavin on Wednesday, March 14, at 8 p.m. The demonstration entitled ‘Springtime’ will be by Christine Hughes. Admission €5 – Tea included – Lourdes Pilgrimage
