Tinahely in terrific form after AGB scalp
TINAHELY made it five wins from five in the Arklow Bay Hotel Division 1A Football League last sunday morning when they got the better of visiting AGB on a score of 3-11 to 1-8.
Alan Costello’s men are moving very nicely at this moment in time and are in a very healthy state on the top of Division 1A with full points on the board.
Apart from a good start from the visitors it was all Tinahely in the opening half with AGB’s passing letting them down on umpteen occasions. The home side were moving the ball confidently and with real purpose.
AGB were well served by Philip Healy who bagged their only goal, but when they lost Philip Gleeson to a straight red card there was simply no way back for the Arklow outfit.
Michael Byrne’s battle with Healy was very entertaining with the Tinahely full-back looking in superb form. At the other end of the field Tom Maher’s clash with Alan Dillon was well worth watching.
